As Bayern defeat Augsburg in the Bundesliga, Kane scores twice

At the conclusion of the second round of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich defeated a tough Augsburg 3-1 thanks in large part to a brace from Harry Kane.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-150448″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/theindiaprint.com-as-bayern-defeat-augsburg-in-the-bundesliga-kane-scores-twice-download-2023-08-28t171734.036-11zon.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com as bayern defeat augsburg in the bundesliga kane scores twice download 2023 08 28t171734.036 11zon” width=”1048″ height=”653″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/theindiaprint.com-as-bayern-defeat-augsburg-in-the-bundesliga-kane-scores-twice-download-2023-08-28t171734.036-11zon.jpg 284w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/theindiaprint.com-as-bayern-defeat-augsburg-in-the-bundesliga-kane-scores-twice-download-2023-08-28t171734.036-11zon-150×93.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1048px) 100vw, 1048px” title=”As Bayern defeat Augsburg in the Bundesliga, Kane scores twice 3″>

The German heavyweights, who were competing in front of their home crowd, controlled possession but initially struggled to break through Augsburg’s tight defense, according to Xinhua.

Surprisingly, at the 30-minute mark, Felix Uduokhai of Augsburg assisted Bayern’s first goal by accidentally rerouting a blocked shot from Leroy Sane into his own net.

A additional irony was that Augsburg unintentionally provided the ball for Bayern’s second. Kane had a chance when Niklas Dorsch committed a handball in the box. The Englishman successfully converted the penalty in the 40th minute.

Just four minutes into the second half, Kane, who was very busy the whole time, had a chance to increase the advantage to three, but he missed with a shot from a good angle.

Bayern kept up its pressure. Serge Gnabry’s dangerous header was stopped by Finn Dahmen, and Elvis Rexhbecaj quickly cleared Dayot Upamecano’s close-range shot off the line.

In the 69th minute, the fate of the game was decided. In order to take advantage of Alphonso Davies’ expertly executed through pass, Kane, a new addition to Bayern, deftly chipped the ball over Dahmen.

But Augsburg remained unyielding. Dion Drena Beljo’s impromptu goal helped them cut the deficit to 3-1.

First league victory in our stadium, a very wonderful victory. We produced a few opportunities that may have grown into a few more. We depart content. I’ve been here for a few weeks now, and I absolutely like the connection we’ve developed, Kane said.

“Great and well-deserved outcome. We had a shaky start and needed a penalty and own goal to get things rolling. The second part of our game was decent. We had opportunities to increase our advantage, but instead we gave up a goal. We can’t be too critical, said Thomas Tuchel, the Bayern coach.

With this victory, Bayern moves up to second place, only one goal behind Union Berlin.

Omar Marmoush’s late goal secured an away draw for Eintracht Frankfurt, who took advantage of Mainz’s ineffectiveness with a 10-player lineup.
